Turns out there are thousands of internet radio stations created by music fans like you and professionals. They take the time to find new music and stream it directly to you.
That's why we built Highnote Radio. Now you can access all of this great streaming music for free from your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad wherever you are.
Highnote will also display artist and song information (and album art!) so if you hear something you like, you can save it for later or buy through iTunes.

Sure, Pandora and other "make your own stations" are fun... but sometimes, you want to hear what's going on, live, somewhere. The weather in your town, hometown news, or even just what the traffic is like. Highnote Radio provides that. An extremely complete list of stations including commercial, public radio, and internet-only feeds are present. And it fully backgrounds in IOS 4, unlike almost all of the other other free radio apps. Yes, it tracks recently played songs and gives you a simple way to buy them, but at the end of the day, this app really gives you the freedom to both discover new music from internet-only or college stations while you are mobile, or lets you hear what's going on around you when you have no radio nearby."

Problematic
Update: this app seems to have been abandoned. Getting errors about unsupported playlists whenever i try to listen to anything. I tried a lot of stations, none worked.
Dead in the water
This used to be a great app, now it won't connect to ANY stations. It's completely useless. iTunes should pull it down. Try the TuneIn app instead.
