Description
••• REQUIRES an Instapaper account WITH A PAID SUBSCRIPTION •••
Listen to your saved Instapaper articles as easily as you listen to podcasts. Readomator seamlessly bridges Instapaper and the iTunes podcast section using text-to-speech.
From iTunes, transfer your custom Instapaper podcast to your iPhone or iPod and tackle your growing Instapaper backlog during your daily commute.
Just sign into your Instapaper account, flip the switch to "On," and watch as a new podcast shows up in iTunes. Readomator begins converting your Instapaper articles into spoken word podcasts immediately. Create separate podcasts from Instapaper's Unread, Liked, and Archive sections, and from any Instapaper folder.
What's New in Version 1.0.2
• Provides support for reading articles saved in multiple languages. If you have a voice installed for a particular language on your Mac, Readomator will try to auto-detect articles written in that language and use that voice.
• Multiple speed and stability improvements. The spinning beach ball while loading from Instapaper should be a thing of the past.
• Fixes a potential deadlock that was freezing Readomator while it ran in the background, particularly on older systems.

Couldn't be simpler
I have been considering cobbling together a solution to do something similar for months, but there's little chance I'd come up with something so elegantly simple as this. Works great, and could not be easier to operate. Definitely worth giving a shot if you find yourself with more reading backlog than free time!
This is just what I needed.
I 💜 this app.
I would rather listen to articles so I don't get to read all the articles that I save to instapaper. This helps a lot and I can work on other things while I listen.
This app works perfectly, and it syncs with your iTunes under the podcast section. After you send an article to instacast just click the refresh button on the
app then it will appear there and in the podcast area of itunes. Then in itunes under the podcast just click the button to download it and the program will convert the text into audio.
You can download higher quality voices too. Go to system prefs and put a check mark on Tom and Samantha. It will download the higher quality voices then
select the voice you want and the speed. Also you can go into the prefs in the app and select the speed too. I think this one is important.
I was able to get it to convert it to my podcasts in iTunes and it works beautifully.
Send the article to instapaper then this program turns into into a podcast. I downloaded the high quality voice Tom but Samantha is good too. You need to sign up for a paid instapaper account but it's only a buck a month charged 3 months at a time. You can also copy and paste an article into an email and then email it to Instapaper. The trick is when you do paste it into an email go under the edit menu and choose Paste and match style. I have found that it works best that way.
I suggest going to their website to learn how to download the high quality voices. I chose not to have it run in the background, as I just open the app. when I need it.
Great app and Great support!
I had the problem of getting all sorts of things into my Instapaper, but never getting around to reading them. This app is a godsend! I can now listen to all my articles on the way to work and it works out great! In addition to loving the app, I must also say that they have great support. I had an issue where things had stopped working and they walked me through troubleshooting and we got it figured out. And to top it off, the problem wasn't even with the product but my iTunes! I'd highly recommend this app, not only because it's a great product, but because I know that they back it up with great support as well!
