Update deleted my progress
I knew I shouldn't have updated the software since it was running just fine. Installed anyway and now I have to start from scratch.
Reckless Racing 2
After getting all of the gold medals in career and arcade mode I’m a bit disappointed with this game.
Pros:
- Great , beautiful, detailed graphics. It is really a pleasure to see this game in action.
- Lots of tracks to choose from, tarmac or gravel, or a mix of both like rallycross.
- Very good driving physics, more into arcade but still a fantastic experience. Drifting around the track is really fun.
- Upgrading cars is a great idea, lots of options here + changing colors and rims.
- Multiplayer works great, no problems here.
Cons:
- The music – for me it is probably the weakest point of this game. It just doesn’t fit into the game’s atmosphere. A couple of music tracks that just feel incompatible with the game.
- Engine sounds are like a vacuum cleaner on steroids. For a petrolhead like me the sound of an engine in a racing game is very important, and in this game it is just weak. And there are no gear changing sounds so cars scream and shout (like a vacuum cleaner on steroids…) on one gear. Really annoying.
- Controls really need some tweaking. I’m using arrows for steering + throttle/breaking and there are moments they just don’t feel responsive enough. Lack of precision is also a pain. Sometimes I’m getting unregistered taps which can ruin the whole race, when you are wheel-to-wheel with another car to the last corner and suddenly drive into the lake although you were pushing the right button to steer. Controls in this game can really ruin the overall experience.
- The career mode feels like it is just a bunch of random races, and I was expecting at least some kind of a cut-scene at the end, hidden stuff unlocked, things like that. But no, the end, great job, wohooo…. o.O
After finishing the game I just feel like it totally lacks of something, a soul, if you know what I mean. And after reading all the positive reviews on the internet I really don’t understand what was all the fuss about.
Overall – disappointed.
Great Game But Progress Lost With Update
Still a great game, but today's update started me all over. All progress lost. Good thing I didn't have any IAPs!
