I really want to like this app

As a "hard core" Reader user who has Byline and a few other Google Reader iPhone apps, I was immediately won over by the UI, which is just beautiful... I was also quickly taken by just how unintuitive this app is. The main screen breaks down to three sections, one of them being the Starred section, which for its section, has a "Starred" section at the top.... yet the other two categories which are not the "Starred" section also have a Statted category header. I find it really confusing and the meaningless UI icons (solid dot, open dot) don't do anything to help.

All in all, the app has a lot of potential, but seriously falls short in the usability department.

Want to love it, but it's not ready

1.2 fixes critical usability flaws (kudos), and Reeder seems marvolous at first, but it's just not solid yet — Google Reader's native webapp is more usable. Reeder has some quirky behavioral issues and bugs, but the top two issues that drive me nuts are: 1) It doesn't remember where you were if you close the app (especially bad if you followed any links in Reeder's browser view and get interrupted — you can't get back to where you were), and 2) there's no way to open a page in Safari.

Beautiful RSS reader!

This RSS reader is fast, beautiful, and a pleasure to use. Definitely the prettiest of all the RSS readers I've used. Not as feature-rich as some of its competitors, but if you don't need an everything-and-the-kitchen-sink reader (as I don't), Reeder is a great alternative. Definitely pick this app up while it's on sale! A real joy.
