Description

ResizeIt allows you to change the size of multiple images simultaneously. It can also convert file formats at the same time. It supports multi core and processes multiple images very fast.

When the app is launched the file open dialog will be shown, so please choose photo files to be processed, then the app shows setting window. Dragging and dropping photo files can be accepted too. Then just input setting and hit Resize button and it's done.
The setting can be saved as preset.
If the aspect ratio have to be kept, just input 0 to height or width then ResizeIt automatically calculate the appropriate value and resize. For example input H:500 W:0, ResizeIt calculate width to keep aspect ratio.
Please refer to manual about other details. Manual can be shown by choose ResizeIt>Manual menu when setting window is shown.

If you like this software, I'd like to ask to make small donation to help effort for the Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster.

Doesn’t actually save the photos

This probalby works for some people, but not me. It appears to do something, but then fails to save the photos.

Works great, given App Store rules. Dev site version is less restricted.

This is a very useful app. It’s very simple and quickly does just what I need. There is a quirk that could make you think it’s “doing nothing”, due to the Mac App Store rules about where apps can create output. The manual mentions this, but it’s possible to miss that. I started with it long ago, in the pre-App-Store version, which could save the output files to any destination, and would default to an Untitled folder within the original folder. However, since the MAS sandboxes apps into writing output only into designated folders like Pictures, this version of ResizeIt insists on putting the resized photos in that location. If you try to choose another destination, it does not save output to that location. The developer’s site has a non-App-Store version (3.8.0 now) which can save to any location as before.

Works great for me

I don’t know why this is getting such bad reviews, but maybe it’s improved greatly just recently (I’m writing this on Dec 1, 2018) and the old reviews are weighing down the rating. I love this little app — it’s the easiest, fastest way I’ve found to reduce the size of images. Works fine every time. Most of the photos I get off my iPhone are too large to send easily on email (usually I’m sending more than one) and this takes them down in a jiffy. So happy to have found it and will be giving a demo to our Mac club soon.
