Description

RideNet lets Central Ohio bicyclists use their iPhone to post their rides to their account on the popular RideNet web site. RideNet for iPhone is sponsored by Consider Biking, a Central Ohio organization that is committed to making Central Ohio increasingly safe, accessible, and friendly to bicycle transportation.

RideNet for iPhone provides bicyclists the ability to conveniently utilize the trip logging functions of the RideNet web site. Using the location capabilities of the iPhone, RideNet lets you acquire and post information about your ride (date, type, weather, distance, mileage, trip map, comments, and a web link) to your user account on the RideNet web site. In addition, you can view your latest ride information and access additional perks from the RideNet web site server.

For years, Central Ohio RideNet members have had to wait until the completion of their ride to get access to a computer to manually log their ride information. Now, RideNet for iPhone does all that for you. Just press the "Start" button, take your trip, and press the "End Ride" button when you're done.

Usage:

* Ride Recording - Press the "Start" button to begin recording. Press "Pause/Continue" to pause and continue a ride. Press "End Ride" to finish the ride and save the ride. While a trip is recording, a "swipe left" gesture on the "trip stats" part of the screen will take you to a live map showing your trip as it currently exists. Note: Uploading of rides to the RideNet server requires an account on the RideNet web site.

* Log of Trips - View past rides, edit and modify ride information, and delete rides less than 5 days old (in keeping with RideNet web site operation)

* Perks - View special offerings from Consider Biking

* Settings - Edit RideNet Account Info
