Alison DaRosa is a native San Diegan and an award-winning journalist. She spent most of her career at the San Diego Union-Tribune, first covering the city and then as Travel Editor/Writer/Photographer. During her tenure, she roamed the globe and was a six-time winner of the nation’s most prestigious award for travel journalism, the Lowell Thomas Gold Award presented by the Society of American Travel Writers.

A little too basic
The app Is functional and useful for the very BASIC info of san diego. You are better off waiting to get to your hotel to browse brochures in the lobby. If you like to hunt out the not so touristy hidden gems in a city, this app is not for you.
