QR CODE SCANNING AT ITS BEST
Scan is completely free. There are no locked features, "lite" version restrictions, etc. It's just simple QR Code and barcode scanning the way it should be. Open the app, point the camera at the code and you’re done! No need to take a photo or press a "scan" button like other apps.
When scanning a QR Code, if the code contains a website URL, you'll automatically be taken to the site. If the code just contains text, you'll immediately see it. For other formats (such as phone numbers, email addresses, or contact info), you will be prompted to take the appropriate action.
PRODUCT BARCODE SUPPORT
Scan now reads regular barcodes (UPC, EAN, and ISBN) and gathers information about the products you scan, allowing you to research and find places to purchase the products you love.
NOTE: Barcode scanning requires an iPhone 3S/4/4S or the new iPad in order to work reliably (the camera in other devices does not provide the detail/focus required for barcode scanning).

BARELY works
Can only sometimes get the app to actually scan. Also, next to no Help/Support/FAQ for the app. I'm sure glad I didn't spend any money because otherwise I'd be demanding a refund.
Slow
It only works half the time. Some times it brings me right to the Internet and other times it says it is loading but never does. 2 stars
GREAT for QR Codes, LACKING for Barcodes.
Scanning QR Codes are great! URLs automatically pop up via the built-in browser which is a major plus. Phone numbers present you with a prompt to call. SMS, text, email, etc. QR codes behave perfectly.
My only issue is with Barcodes. When scanning an item, you are only presented w/ ONE price to purchase from, not a list of prices from online OR local sellers according to your location, or even the options to filter New or Used results. However you do get a nice lengthy description of the item scanned.
I do like the beep + vibe notification you get upon a successful scan. A red scan line across the screen would be nice as well.
If this app did better w/ the product prices from barcode scanning (like a few others apps I know for iPhone), I would give it 5 stars.
