Description
SpaceLab is a monophonic synthesizer. It has four ways to play: keyboard, graph, guitar, and wind controller. Underneath those interfaces is a fully programmable subtractive synth with oscillators, filters, envelopes, effects, FM, presets, an arpeggiator, full MIDI control, and much more!

Good Traditional Synth
Spacelab does an excellent job of emulating mono synths from the late 70s to early 80s. While not like a Moog synth, it's more like a Juno 6 synthesizer except that it isn't polyphonic.
It does however offer rich synth tones all the way from base to lead, even simple pads. The filter is very nice-sounding offering a balanced range and the resonation stays accurate and clear, all the way to self-oscillation. The editable effects are simple but good sounding as well.
All in all Spacelab offers a nice balance of useful features versus too much of everything and not enough quality. I don't frequently use monophonic synthesizers but in the case of Spacelab I find myself using it more and more. The user interface is very good although I could do without all the colors and would prefer something of a utilitarian quality, but that's me.
Right now Spacelab is not ready for prime time when it comes to using it for real-time editing. Until then it's still a great little synth and well worth having in your collection.
Won’t open with iOS 11
Used to like it, definitely worth a dollar, but not if it doesn’t even open. Just pops up a message saying the developer needs to update it to work with iOS 11.
