Still hoggin' CPU, Still no Undo

I was hoping that 1.6 would solve some longstanding issues. Nope. Your CPU usage will hover between 9 and 21% for your 'ancient' Core2Duo. Why? I dunno, other than they like wasting electricity. Also, there is still no undo function. If you move an email to archive, and want it back, ha ha… you get to go to all mail, and move it back to your inbox.

The short story here is it's a very polished UI with a poor experience. For me, using the web interface is still faster to process email, and offers more flexibility in usage. Sorry, Sparrow, you fail the questions three, still.

From good to bad to worse

I have been using this app since the beta version. Since then it has always been my primary email client. However, certain bugs and problems have persisted and progressively gotten worse believe it or not.

The search feature was never great, but for me it has consistently gotten worse. I have had to resort to opening gmail in the browser to conduct searches. Now, with the latest update 1.6, the search does not seem to be working at all. This is making the app more useless everyday, as I use the search feature often.

The other issue that is more annoying than anything else is the fact that everytime I return to the inbox it brings me back to the same email that is three months old! Everytime. Then I have to proceed clicking the inbox link until it decides to return to the latest email. Sometime it simply stays stuck and I can not get it to return to the latest email at all.

I have sent countless emails to support, but the only solution they offer is to delete my gmail account and then add back again, which does nothing to solve either problem. That is the solution they give me when they bother to respond at all.

Great app, but switch back to the old notification sound

The new notification sound is cringingly bad.
