Description

A Catholic app for John Paul II's Bible-based interpretation of the Stations of the Cross. Now available in English and Spanish!

Prayerfully walk in solidarity with Jesus on his agonizing Way of the Cross – from his last torturous moments in the Garden of Gethsemane to his death and burial. The Stations of the Cross iPhone app is the perfect pocket devotional, particularly during the Lenten season.

In 1991, Pope John Paul II introduced a new Bible-based interpretation of the Stations of the Cross. Pope Benedict XVI has continued it. Building on a growing worldwide interest in this interpretation, best-selling authors Amy Welborn and Michael Dubruiel wrote the parish resource, John Paul II’s Biblical Way of the Cross, which is now presented, exclusively by Ave Maria Press, as the StationsOfTheCross iPhone app.

JPII's spirit shines forth

The rich imagery of this app and booklet match the richness of JPII's approach to the stations of the cross. This is a great Lenten resource.

Needs Better Art

I enjoy the stations of the cross app, however, please consider offering the option of different art to accompany the readings. Other iPhone apps do this commonly. There is plenty of traditional catholic art that is copyright free in addition to the traditional options you probably already own. The current art is personally not beautiful or moving to me, it is simplistic and harsh. It's great to offer options for the modern tastes and the traditional taste. The app also crashes/closes occasionally.

Bad

I don't like thi very much should have done the real 14stations what is this?
