Steambirds Survival HD, the sequel to the hit game Steambirds (first released in 2010 and played by over 12 million people worldwide) is brought to you by its original creator, Spry Fox, and by Halfbrick, the developer of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride!
In the Steambirds universe, the Allies are losing the war against the Axis powers and their incredible Armada. As an elite Allied pilot, your goal is to stand your ground against endless waves of Axis aircraft. The odds are overwhelming. You're hopelessly outnumbered. The United Kingdom is almost certainly doomed, but you *might* be able to save its citizens.... if you can hold off death long enough for them to evacuate!
Steambirds Survival HD features 8 unique aircraft and 64 unique missions at launch (with another 7 aircraft and 56 missions scheduled to be released as free updates soon after launch.) Each plane in SBS HD has its own strengths and weakness which will require you to change your strategy if you want to succeed. You'll also need to collect powerups dropped by enemy aircraft; grabbing and using these at the right time will be the key to your survival.

We've been working very hard to release an update that we hope you all will love!
First and foremost, there's a new city available! Check out Nottingham, a particularly challenging mission pack featuring a new unique plane as always.
This update also includes a wide range of bug fixes and iOS5 compatibility adjustments. (Took us a while to nail all of them; we appreciate your patience!)
Ads, which were previously removed from the game due to problems with their display, have been restored to the game. However, they only appear at the end of each mission. No annoying banners! (Since 99% of players do not pay for anything in the game, ads bring us much-needed revenue which will enable us to keep updating SBS. We appreciate your understanding!)

Still crashing
I really like this game so I updated to the latest version. Played 6 times and the game crashes out 3 times. 3/6?
Somewhere there's a programmer telling someone that it's not ready and that someone is telling the programmer - yes it is....well...no it isn't.
Great game, only if it didn't crash.
I love this game, but it crashes. I didn't notice the crashing problem till I started racking up the points and kills in a good match. But when i have a large numbers of enemy planes going down at once the game crashes and I lose all those points I racked up.
Crash and burn!
This is a great game, but has major problems. During all the final stages, this game crashes on or around the 15th wave of enemy planes. When this happens you lose your money earned, your progress in the mission and the money spent to recruit other planes. Awful ending to great game. Don't bother if you are the type of person that likes to master things. The other negative is that you can't go back and redo levels. If you could then you would at least get to pass some levels again before the game crashes on you, and it will.
