Description
Etude is the ultimate app for learning music on the piano. It's all part of Steinway's new suite of digital tools for the 21st century musician.
FOR BEGINNERS
If you haven't played piano before, it's never been easier to start. Just find the song you want to play from the in-app music store, download it, and Etude will show you the exact keys to press at each moment. You can slow it down and even practice each hand separately.
FOR PROS
With Etude, you'll never have to worry about carrying around bulky paper or flipping pages. You'll appreciate the app's crisp, legible sheet music engraving and how fast it is to add new songs to your collection.

Etude has everything from classical music to pop hits, showtunes, and themes from movies and TV shows.

Awesome! Great for beginners and masters alike
I just downloaded this today while browsing the music section and am so glad I got it. The selection of music is vast and while $3 per song is a bit expensive it's well worth it. App works well and has a very intuitive interface.
Some suggestions: Please add 1/2 time to the time adjustment. 1/4 time is great but I feel it is too slow for some parts.
Also, perhaps add a metronome
And add a 2 beat delay before the song begins so I can position my hands prior to the song starting.
Overall, very good music app!
Amazing!!
I cant believe how easy it is to learn! I started playing the beethoven song and i can read the actual music now. I hope they do more Yanni songs
Nice Idea, but still needs work
This is a nice idea and will help someone learn IF they already know how to read music and already have an instrument to learn on/practice with...
If someone doesn't know how to read music, they wouldn't learn the piece properly because this app, while playing Fur Elise, skipped right over the repeats... If someone is trying to learn based off this, they'd be learning wrong - I suggest some work in getting the app to actually repeat, at the repeats.
also, I was a bit disappointed to find that all I could do with it is watch the keyboard go and the highlight on the sheet music move. I had thought it would be a "learn on your device" piano app. it's not.
