Description
Step-by-Step is a visual aide to help guide children through complex tasks. The complex sequence becomes just a few small, straightforward steps. By working through the small steps with visual reminders the learner chains small steps into complex routines.
A facilitator lays out the individual steps that are part of a routine. Adding your own pictures provides clear visual reminders of the next step. As the learner completes each step he/she can tap the screen to see the visual cue for the next step.
Step-by-Step is designed to be used by a facilitator working with multiple children and multiple routines. Additionally, Step-by-Step also keeps track of how long the learner needs to complete each step. By reviewing the history of a routine, the facilitator may notice where the learner is improving or is in need of extra assistance.
What's New in Version 1.1
A facilitator can now record an audio prompt for each step.
Added an "automatic" mode that moves to the next step after a user-specified period of time.
Example: by combining these two features, a facilitator can prepare a set of steps to prompt a learner through an unattended shower.

A good app
This is a good app. It easily provides a customized step by step picture based set of prompts to users. Those with autism or other developmental disabilities will likely find the interphase easy to operate and the function of the app useful in learning tasks. I particularly love the simple tap required to advance a sequence along with the option to automate the sequences...very nice options and simple user operation.
I think the app could have been more robust. If pictures are enough for your user, this app will work great. The three stars reflect the limited feature set, making the app great for a subset of people with disabilities but others may need more than a picture to best learn.
