Great job Capcom! This game is SOO amazing! Pretty impresive graphics (except the background). But this app is a little TOO pricey! It should ONLY be worth $4.99 - $7.99! That's because ONLY 8 characters! Seriously?! There should at least be 12 or more! And what would REALY make this game worth more than $9.99 (I would buy it for about $14.99...) is if there was ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! CAPCOM EVERYONE IS ASKING FOR THIS AND LISTEN TO US! THERE SHOULD BE MORE CHARACTERS AND ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!!! THEN IT WOULD ACTUALLY BE WORTH $9.99 OR MORE! EVERYONE WHO AGREES WITH ME, LEAVE REVIEWS TO CAPCOM ABOUT MORE CHARACTERS AND ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. STILL A GREAT GAME, BUT A LITTLE TOO PRICEY!
Simply Amazing... With a few nitpicks...
Right up front, let it be said: This game on iPhone us a million times better than it has any right to be. It's a fraction of the price of the console versions and each match packs just as much fun while controlling far better than should be possible on a touch screen. Well done, Capcom!
It's the details that lack a bit here. The most glaring is the roster of characters. While we've certainly come a long way from Tiger Electronics, the 8 here certainly prove that the entire SFIV roster is at the very least possible. Why omit over half then?
If that weren't enough, winning a round of tournament mode has you greeted a trailer for Super Street Fighter IV (aka not this game) which features 3 characters, only one of which is actually in the game you just beat. Would it have been so hard to include 8 video ending sequences relative to the characters instead? How about the combative banter that should open a Rival Match? Are some text boxes and mouth annimations too hard to implement in the name of fleshing out the experience?
It's stuff like this, the details, that take one out of the experience and make it sad they spent so much time perfecting the gameplay, just to fumble on the simpler stuff.
But again, don't let the negativity fool you. While valid quips, they pale in comparison to the masterful job Capcom's done here to absolutly nail the fighting gameplay. Again, buy this. Street Fighter Has never been this good in a pocket sized version. Period. Here's hoping an update will add to the experience.
