Description
Give your non-verbal child a voice!
TapToTalk turns an iPhone™, iPad™ or iPod touch® into an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. TapToTalk makes communication fun, like another “game” on this cool device. Just tap a picture and TapToTalk speaks. Each picture can lead to another screen of pictures.
This free TapToTalk™ app comes with a fully functional album that you can use with your child. If you want to create albums that are individualized to meet the specific needs of your child, visit the TapToTalk web site (www.taptotalk.com).
You’ll learn about TapToTalk Designer, the online application that you use to create your own AAC albums for your child. TapToTalk Designer includes a library of over 2,000 pictures. You can add your own pictures, photos and sounds. You can even record your own voice. Albums created in TapToTalk Designer are “synced” over the Internet directly to your iPhone™, iPad™ or iPod touch®.
TapToTalk is a must have app for special needs children with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, apraxia and other speech delays.

Customer Reviews
Buyer beware
You cannot customize this app through your iPad. You must have a pc or Mac and then download the customizations to your iPad. For someone like me who only uses the iPad, it makes the product unusable. I cannot believe I bought the $99 yearly subscription before I was given this information by this company. have written customer service to see if they will come up with a solution, and will revise my review as needed. But, as it stands now, I want my money back.
Fantastic Simple AAC
I have been using this with my 14 year old who has spastic quad cerebral palsy and is non verbal. She previously used a CheapTalk 4 square and had mastered it so upgrading to an ipad and downloading Tap2Talk was a great transition. We are using the free version as the need for customizing has not arisen yet. This app is great for developing the skills for using an AAC device and buying an iPad is thousands cheaper that getting a Dynavox or a Tobii AAC device. I really appreciate the opportunity to use a free version before purchasing the full app. The opportunity to experiment and see how our kids take to it is important for special needs kids and their families. Thank you Tap2talk!
Great app
Great app for young children who need augmentative communication. Very easy for a young child or child with a disability to use. I wish the voice was a child's voice rather than an adult.
