Unbelievable!
I own both of the Teach Me Sushi iPhone apps and I was really excited to see an iPad version available too. After pouring myself a cup of coffee and sitting through the 15 minute download (the download was literally 15 minutes and I have a pretty good broadband plan) - I was blown away at just how unbelievably good this app is. Most cooking apps need you to download the videos after you have downloaded the app - which means you have to wait before you start every recipe and you don't know what you're in for size wise on your app. I prefer waiting to download and then afterwards being able to zip between each recipe without having to wait for anything more to download. The pictures are ridiculously clear and the iPad design works brilliantly. If you can look at these pictures/vids and not crave sushi immediately there is something wrong with you! 10 Stars and highly recommended!!!

This app was so cool! THe pictures are gorgeous and the videos are so helpful for a beginner with no clue what to do. I especially loved the calculator and the rice timer! Took all the guess work out of figuring out this sushi making thing and just put a quick and easy list right in front of me. The rice timer helped me make sure I didn't ruin the rice before I even got started. Could not make sushi making easier! I'm definitely no longer intimidated and no longer dropping all that money eating sushi out when I can pull it together so easily myself! AND it looks like a pro pulled it together!
The value
There are few things in life more pleasurable than mastering a new life skill. I'm not talking about beating a video game, I'm talking about the ability to create something beautiful and enjoyable - and in this case editable.
Mastering a skill, like making sushi, is something that will stay with you for the rest of your life. It's something few actually know how to do, but everyone wishes they knew how.
The value I get from this app is worth far more than the price. Add to that just how polished this app is - high quality videos, useful tools and an eye-pleasing interface - you can't ask for much more from an app.
The app download took me about 15 mins. I figured it would take a little bit due to having so many videos, so I made sure to give myself a little time before needing to make my sushi rolls.
I would highly recommend this app.
