Textie 1.0.8 introduces improved integration with the Fusion Ad network, bringing you the same well-loved ads that powered Tweetie for Mac. As always, the ads can be disabled. Additional improvements:

Looks great. Less Functioning
On the plus side, this is far and away the best looking text messaging app I have used. I would love to use it more, but I can't for a couple of reasons.
First, and most significantly, it doesn't work to send messages to T-mobile and Sprint. Frankly, this is a complete deal killer. I don't know who of my contacts is on what network all the time, and there are some who I know are on T-mobile. Messages sent to those networks fail without any indication. This is awful, and needs to be fixed before I can use it or recommend it to others.
Second, no Google Voice support. TextNow and TextFree both manage this and it works great. In fact, if this were implemented, the lack of support for certain carriers would be made a moot point, at least for me.
Quality app...would be better with google voice
Simple, effective app but needs to support google voice. If it supported GV, it would be 5*. Excellent interface.
Good, but would be GREAT if it had GOOGLE VOICE support...
Its a very quick, elegant app that works extremely well. I like it much better than Textfree and Textnow. BUT, those 2 apps have good google voice support, while I can't for the life of me get google voice to work with Textie.
Textie support said that it's a possible future update, but there's no known date yet.
HURRY UP WITH THE GOOGLE VOICE SUPPORT, WILL GIVE 5 STARS WHEN IT HAS IT.
I would even be willing to pay a few dollars one time fee for google voice support as a premium feature.
Update... Still no google voice. Don't know what's taking so long.
