Solid app
If you are a fan of the Daily Beast web page, then you will be a fan of the app. It offers exactly the same content and I have not seen any of the performance issues in other reviews. The Daily Beast offers a easily digestible list of the top stories, and is not intended for breaking news or a continuos stream of news. The Daily Beast is a great DAILY read.
Could be vastly better
Good reporting, nice looking app, but utterly terrible implementation. The loading times are simple horrendous. If you enjoy taking the Daily Beast, I recommend using Flipboard and adding the Daily Beast as a feed. It will enable you to view the site in a beautiful (and quick) manner. The Beast's app just can't match up.
Revised review -- glimmer of hope
The articles don't load. The Daily Dish updates sporadically if it updates at all.
The performance of the app has gotten markedly worse in recent weeks.
Would the New York Philharmonic perform Beethoven on a kazoo? No. So why is high-quality content presented in such an inept, dysfunctional way?

Just deleted and reinstalled. Working much better. Rating raised from one to three stars. I'm cautiously optimistic.
