Havin a blast!
I just picked this one up. (thought i would take the hit if it was bad) So far I'm having a blast! i've only played a very short session, but the art/animation is incredible. the gameplay is multifaceted. it controls similarly to a duel stick shooter, but from a side perspective. the town you start in is similar to an rpg with shops, and citizens which you can speak with using a multi-choice sytem. the writing is pretty funny, and definately smart. you can recieve quests from these citizens that open up new upgrades, and give cash and item rewards. while hunting for the first quest item i was tasked with performing puzzles in the vein of zelda. while at the same time scavenging the seafloor for treasure in a way that reminds me of a hidden object game. but instead of just pointing out the hidden objects on a static screen, you must use your character as the pointer while menouvering the complex maps, and avoiding vengefull sealife. if it gets better or worse, i'll post again. Until then i recommend tryin it out. ps i don't have a weapon yet, but i think i'll get one after this first quest.
Ok, completed first quest. It's starting to remind me of dig it!. after the first quest, i upgraded speed and oxegen so that i could last longer searchin for treasures. I have not played Dig it! expeditions, but deep's addition of enemies, quests, and humor make it a huge improvement in that genre. forgive my typing errors, but i'm playin at the same time.
There seems to be about 12 tools/weapons. that's how many spots are in the inventory, and each spot seems to be reserved for a particular tool.
...And each enemy type has its own A.I. and path

What a find!
Wow, what a beautiful game! The art is fantastic, great story, I have lold many times. Fun, simple gameplay with great depth for an iPod game. Simply one of the very best apps out there!
Pretty Freakin Sweet
I'm really enjoying this game so far. Swimming through levels, avoiding/fighting enemies, collecting, upgrading. It's got a definite old school RPG and platformer kind of feel to it and really snazzy cartoony graphics. There's a whole lot of game here, it was great for my trip out of town for the holidays. I was bummed when my battery ran out before I got a chance to finish it. I'll be playing this game for a while.
