Ther-ad for Autism is an evidence based video self modeling application for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Numerous research studies have shown that video self modeling can help children with Autism to increase desired behaviors and consequently decrease problem behaviors at the same time.
Ther-ad for Autism allows a student to watch "motivating" media (movies) that are occasionally paused by Ther-ad at an interval that the parent or teacher sets. A short video self modeling clip is then presented to the student whom watches the short clip of themselves engaging in some behavior that the parent or teacher wishes to encourage. After the video self modeling clip finishes, the student is automatically reinforced by being returned to the motivating content.
Video content (both motivating and modeling) must be loaded by the user because each student is different in terms of what video content is motivating and of course each student will need their own self modeling content.
Ther-ad for Autism supports multiple clients with separate media libraries for each client, fully customizable modeling clip scheduling and data export for analysis of video modeling exposure for data based decision making.
