Beautiful!!
My two year old grandson arrived just moments after I purchased and downloaded this book onto my iPad, so timing was perfect. He and I both truly enjoyed this book and I heartily recommend it to anyone with small children around...or even to grownups who are still young at heart and/or to those who are able to appreciate lovely artwork and refined programming skills. The Little Mermaid was stunning and now this...
Gorgeous art and X-Ray vision too !
This interactive book has beautiful illustrations, and wonderful interactive elements throughout the story. Young children, and those who are young at heart, will have a ball playing with the different interactive baubles. Everything looks so realistic that you'd swear you were holding a real book in your hands, but the pages will never get ripped, and the gears and elastics that power everything will never get broken !
The X-Ray aspect of this book is what sets it apart from every other book on the iTunes store. At the press of a button, you can see the inner workings of the book with a virtual X-Ray window. It's fascinating to see the physics and mechanics of the book. I showed the book to a couple of young children, and they couldn't wait to see how every page worked. An ideal combination of magic and science.
If you're looking to get children excited about reading, this app is a perfect tool. The look of delight on the faces of the children was heartwarming to see, and their giggles are music to the ears. This book is a great value, and children (as well as adults) will come back to it again and again !
Brilliant!
After having bought this developers first app (the Little Mermaid) I couldn't wait to see what would come next. As soon as I received the email that the Three Little Pigs was available, I went right to the app store!
As beautiful as the Little Mermaid was, this has far surpassed it. The addition of the x-ray effect is amazing! Seeing the inner workings of the moving features is something akin to magic for my 5 year old. My 18 month old is also able to work the sliders and buttons and this allows her to be a part of the story reading experience with her older sister.
Please bear in mind that this is the classic version of the story NOT the pasteurized rendition that many of us are familiar with. I hope the creator will continue this trend of non-Disneyfied stories!
My kids and I eagerly await more of these stories in the (hopefully) near future!
