Simple and very useful app
Timing activities for people with disabilities...especially autism is a critical piece of any parent or teacher's toolbox. This app is simple to operate using drag and drop methods. I love that it is picture based and customizable. It allows a user to stop early, which is great because most users won't work a task as it is scheduled on the app every time.
I had trouble initially when trying to set the time for each activity. After I dragged the pictures to the schedule, I wanted to then set the time for each task. I had to exit the drag and drop screen and then return to the schedule. Then the time set function worked flawlessly. If this is a bug, it is easily fixed...if it is a design, I'd recommend allowing a person to set the time immediately what the task is assigned. This is the only reason I gave 4 instead so 5 stars.
Altogether, I'd recommend teachers, parents, job coaches and anyone else working with people with autism to purchase and use this app. The learning curve to use this app is under10 minutes. It accomplishes a way to implement the research based "finished concept" in an easy and functional way. A must have for those supporting people with autism...nice job!
The best app for working with those who have Autism yet!
As I put together schedule after schedule and going through ink cartridges like crazy and tons of velcro, I always thought in my mind, there should be an app for creating schedules for our clients who have Autism. This app did it, and then took it to the next level. Not only does it let you add or take your own pictures and arrange it vertically or horizontally in a schedule, but you can have it say anything you want - perfect! And that each picture in the schedule has its own timer is phenomenal. I love that it also has a full size clock that transforms into an hourglass or digital readout too, and you can make your own alarm sound also. The clients and parents I work with love it! And if they love it, so do I. Better yet, because it's made for multiple users, I don't have to buy a separate app for each of our clients who have Autism, PDD, Developmental Delays. Great job!
Unrivaled...
I have to say, Wow! This app is unrivaled. It functions exactly the way its described plus so much more. I have a son with a diagnosis of autism and we use this app for his therapy sessions. Its so simple to use that he has become even more active in the therapy process because he gets to be in control of the timers as we switch from one task to the next. Also, we can choose the face and the tones of each timer. Now, I no longer have to fight with him to turn off the Xbox, and he is more agreeable at bedtime. Plus, my wife uses the multi-timers when she is baking her breads. Love it!
