Toddler Milestones

Have you got a toddler? Now you can use your iPhone or iPod to store a record of your toddler's progress. Toddler Milestones follows on from our Baby Milestones application and enables you to track your toddler's progress from 12 to 36 months in 5 key areas:

Milestones – Giving you peace-of-mind that your toddler is learning new things at the right time, this setting provides typical ranges† of when most toddlers acquire new skills.

Moments – This setting allows you to record those special first time moments like when your toddler first went to nursery school or meets a younger sibling for the first time.

Vocabulary – This setting allows you to record the day your child learns new words.

Height – Record how your toddler's height changes using cm or feet and inches. Plot their height on the built in graph against World Health Organization guidelines to see how they compare.

Weight – Record how you toddler’s weight changes using kilograms or pounds and ounces. Like the height function you can plot their weight against W.H.O. guidelines.

Toddler Milestones includes the following functionality:

• Backup your precious memories by connection to the free of charge companion application**.

• Record the date your toddler accomplishes new things and add comments to help you remember.

• Photos - Add pictures to every entry from those already stored on your device or where available add new ones with the camera.

• Units - Use Imperial or Metric units to enter Height and Weight information.

• Graphs - Plot graphs against World Health Organization guidelines.

• Preloaded - Includes 52 built in Milestones with typical achievement ranges† and 20 Moments to get you started.

• Reminder - Includes a reminder function to alert you when a Milestone's typical range has elapsed before the Milestone has been marked as accomplished. Also reminds you when height or weight information hasn't been added for over a month - this can be disabled.

You always have your iPhone or iPod with you so now you can easily track your child's achievements and always have a record of your child's progress with you too.

NOTE: The typical ranges† quoted are mainly taken from the book 'What to Expect - the toddler years' by Murkoff, Eisenberg & Hathaway. My wife and I have found 'What to Expect' a well written and very knowledgeable book that has been an invaluable tool in raising our son, however, it is in no way affiliated with this application.

† All children develop at their own rates and the typical ranges are meant to be nominally normal ranges for development only. This application is not a substitute for regular checkups by a registered medical practitioner and any worries you may have should be directed to health professionals.

** The Companion Application allows you to backup your data, modify it outside the iPhone and push data back to the iPhone so you never lose any of your precious memories.
