The TomTom Navigation app requires a GPS signal. 3G-enabled iPads, iPhone 3G and later models have an internal GPS receiver. Users of non-3G iPads and iPod touch 2nd gen and later models will require an external GPS receiver. The original iPhone and iPod touch are not supported.
(1)Compatible with iPhone 3G/3GS/4/4S, iPad WiFi + 3G models. If you’d prefer to use your existing subscription on your iPad, restore your purchases within the TomTom App on your iPad. The App will prompt you to transfer your subscription between your iPhone and iPad.
(2)Announces street names comes in the following languages: English US, Spanish, French.
(3)Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
(4)Photos can only be used for navigation if you have enabled Location Services in the Camera application.

Ugly Icon notwithstanding
It is incredible that whenever TomTom updates all previous data is gone. TomTom does exactly what I ask it to do every time. But I have to repopulate it every time and that's annoying.
Traumatic Updates.
Man! I love the app, but every time I update it, it's like starting over. I have to go through and re-enter all of my favorites. I've lost so many addresses this way. Grrrr!!!! I can't contact anyone there either. Sooo disappointing.
Fantastic update
Five star update. I had long given this app a 2 star rating (down from initial 4 star) after 2 years of using map share to update (with no correction from tomtom) a missing road in a major CA city.
Happy to say the new update has finally rectified this. The new features are superb as well. Easily the best navigation app for iPhone on the market. Easy to use, intuitive, quick.
Suggestions: (1) Free traffic info; (2) what's up with the new icon? Looks strait out of Windows 95. Keep up the great work!
