More than 1 return? Skip this!
If you have more than 1 return to file in you household, buy the software for the computer instead and save $$$. The iPad version requires you to pay $50 per each federal return plus $40 per state return plus the e-file fee. That was over $200 for 2 returns. Unacceptable!!
Such poor implementation of a Great product
I agree with the earlier reviewer... DO NOT BUY this if you have more than one set (federal/state) of returns to do... you will have to pay an application purchase cost + filling fees for every return... add up FAST. This is a real shame because the application itself is very nice to use... the mobility of the iPad coupled with a very intuitive process flow made the data entry very easy/friendly.
For what it's worth ... that's my non-deductible 2 cents.
Easy to Use, But a Complete Ripoff
I filed a free Federal Tax Return using Free Tax USA online. I thought this would be a better option since Free Tax USA charges $10 for a state tax return. Imagine my surprise when I reached the end of Turbo Tax and realized that not only would I have to pay for a federal tax return without needing to finish one, but it would cost me $90 total to submit my taxes! (That's $50 for federal and $40 for state). The app would not let me pay for state taxes by themselves.
Given the 900% increase in price to use this app compared to Free Tax USA, I promptly deleted this app and went back to finish my state tax return through Free Tax USA. Don't bother with this app. There are other just as easy to use resources for a small fraction of the price.
