TwinBlades is a frantic shooter game set in a medieval era with unique manga-like graphics.
Help the nun defeat evil with some heavy zombie-killing action across multiple environments, venture through the city market, the cemetary, a chapel in ruins and the city's outskirts to purge the town of all its living-dead inhabitants.
Buy new skills and powers and upgrade them as you progress day after day. Manage carefully your energy by slicing zombies with your mighty scythe in order to use the destructive powers of your artillery!

incredibly boring
the only reason the game receives 5 star ratings is because the description says they'll keep updating if you give them 5 stars (June 3rd 2010 - i wonder if they'll remove that line now that someone called them on their bribe)! DON'T GET FOOLED! this is one of the most boring games on the App store, one of the most boring games i've played in my life.
the gorgeous graphics don't make up for how there's absolutelly NOTHING to the gameplay here. not even the biggest side-scroller fan can justify how terrible and repetitive the gameplay is. you walk and press a button. that's it. the attacks don't stun the enemies in different ways, they don't have different timing, they don't leave you or the enemy open for following attacks, there's no combos or stringing attacks in any significant way, you can't aim at multiple body parts to slow them down, you can't throw them over each other, and the guns are there just to LOOK different... you can't do ANYTHING in this game.
grab any game from the NES, SNES, Genesis or Master System era and it'll whoop the floor with this game. even Last Battle/Hokuto no Ken for the Master System, which is one of the worst games of the genre, is miles above this. in that game you could at least stun opponents and had different timing in your moves.
the developers should've just made a running game like Action Hero, where you don't need variety. the way it is, Twin Blades is just boring and a complete waste of the artists' ability. go play any free action game instead, it'll be much better.

Amazing!
Like so many others have mentioned before, this used to be just a pretty shell of a game. Since the update however it has become a wonderful ride well worth the price of admission. If you are lucky enough to have stumbled across this page, do yourself the favor of purchasing this game. This is the first review I've ever done for an app. I'm writing this now because I hope with a little more positive support, that the developers will extend this amazing game. It has an open 'ending' well worth expanding upon, here's hoping that they do!
