Best Units Conversion App!
I loved this app on my Palm and was disappointed to not be able to find it when I moved over to an iPod Touch. I've tried a couple of other apps for units conversion but they left me wanting my "old" UnitsIQ from my Palm. The wait is over! This is the ultimate app for units conversion. If you can't find your conversion in this app - it doesn't exist or is invalid. It is the most complete convertor I've ever used on a portable device (30+ years of professional engineering experience). UnitsIQ does a great job of balancing breath of coverage with simplicity of operation - it's very intuitive to use. Other apps have bells and whistles to cover for less conversion options. I'll take the functionality any day! Great app and great value$$.
Most conversions I've ever seen!
Don't let this app's unbecoming looks fool you: this is really one of the best unit conversion apps on the market. It could handle every unit I could think of, and even some I couldn't. While confusing at times, the app includes a help file, which is very informative at explaining a very spartan and sometimes less than intuitive user interface. Nevertheless, this app pares it down to the basics: pure unit conversion, and doesn't try to top it off with some gimmicky interface. Definitely worth the three dollars for nearly a thousand different units of conversion.
The wait is over Palm fans
I have used the wonderful app from efunda on my Palm. Clearly it was the best units converter on the planet. When I purchased my iphone a couple of years ago I had withdrawal pains of not having this units converter and the loaniq app.
efunda fixed the loaniq shortage a few months ago with loaniq for the iphone. And now this unitsiq. Folks this is one program you gotta have. whether you are an engineer (what are you waiting for), a scientist (ditto), a or a student.
Where else can you find the usual such as pounds to grams, inches to mm, but also stuff such as wire gages, sheet metal gages, luminance, magnetic flux, molar electric charge, surface tension , viscosity, enzymatic activity, fuel consumption, etc. etc.
Folks this is a must buy.
