UV detector is a useful and elegant app that let’s you check out the UV index in your area, as well as weekly forecasts, go to the settings tab to receive customized alerts when you should wear sunscreen, and share these alerts with your friends through email, facebook, twitter and more.
UV Detector is an Appswell app, where users submit their ideas for iPhone apps, and vote to see which ones get made.

*Make sure to enable and customize push notifications in the settings menu*
*Your city is available, though it may not be listed. Press the target icon on the UVI screen to find your current location*
the Big Changes, including our most requested feature: full personalized push notification. Receive sunscreen alerts based on your personally set UV threshold and location, without having to remember to open the app. You can set the time of day you want to receive them, or easily choose never to receive them.

I Love it!
It's so handy to know what rays are out there before I venture out. The only catch is that little vertical graphic that shows what time it is has been stopped at 6 PM for weeks! It used to work...

Their are only ten cities listed for all of the USA.
