Great app
I have and use this app on my iPad, iPhone, and Mac. Yeah, it is a heavy application, but most of that is the beautiful animations it plays.
Some complain about the lack of some features like a map, which the Mac version has, but I do not see that as a big minus.
This app is built around the presentation on key data, in an easy to use interface. It is beautiful wen used as a display screen for the iPad while it is sitting on your desk charging.
I have other weather apps as well, some I use when I want or need more detailed info. But, for what this was designed to di, it does it very well.
Nice app, but...
I really like this app a lot, but the one thing about it that really bugs me is it's size. I just saw another weather app on the featured page of the app store (it's called Magical Weather) that seems to do basically the same thing (including animations), but only requires roughly 47 MB vs over 300 MB for this app.
Now, to be fair, I haven't actually used that other app, so for all I know, it may be smaller because the animations may be scripted instead of being video files, and also it's not a universal app, it's iPad only. And it also might not have as many features as this app, so maybe the extra size is worth it.
Anyway, I'm not here to write a bad review, and I'm certainly not here to write a review about another app. I'm here to write a 4 out of 5 star review saying that this app is very clean and organized and just overall well put together, but I hope a way can be found to reduce the size. Though honestly, 300 MB is pretty good considering what you're getting, plus I took a basic C++ programming class in highschool, so I can understand better than a lot of reviewers that reducing the size of an app without sacrificing quality and/or features is NOT as easy as it sounds.
So keep the updates coming, I look forward to them!
