YouDo - To-do lists and daily notes

By Steven Romej

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

Description

YouDo is a todo list that takes things a day at a time. Each day gets a sheet; flip through them, add tasks, and tap them off from a single screen.

You can page to future days and add tasks. Status bars on the left and right side of the screen indicate the number of tasks on the previous and next day.

You can view past tasks you never completed as well as all upcoming tasks.

Tap an item to mark it complete and watch it fade away.

Email yourself a copy of your daily todo list.

Customize your task list by changing the background color.

You can enable a setting to see how many incomplete tasks you have for the current day on the app icon.

If you like simple todo lists like Teux Deux or Tada lists, you'll feel at home with YouDo. Support for Palm (Centro, etc) users is coming.

FULLY SUPPORTED

App Store Review for YouDo
11-2-11

YouDo is a nifty daily task manager app.

It keeps simplicity in mind in its design -- which helps to keep the tendency to over organize at bay.

It is quick and easy to add new tasks and move them forward a day or week.

It even includes a nice calendar view to view your schedule.

And you can turn the pages like a notebook -- and have a fresh, blank page for each day.

If I could suggest a couple little things to make it even better:

A longer text area than one line ... not truncated.

An inbox to enter adhoc tasks -- tasks that you don't want to place on a day yet. Without, you'll still need another todo app to capture them.

After buying dozens of todo managers in the app store, there's really only a handful that I've ended up using for any length of time.

Most fail to satisfy you for long, even with all the fancy bells and whistles. And you end up fiddling with how to organize your tasks rather than doing them.

YouDo is an exception. This smart daily planner is a true gem of an app -- combing a clean, intuitive interface with the most essential features you will appreciate.

With YouDo, managing your daily schedule can be easy, intuitive and fun.

Always a day late.

I don't need an app to tell me what I need to do yesterday...
