Biography
Mexican female foursome Aurora y La Academia was formed in 1995 by singer/guitarist Aurora and her brother, musician/producer Iñaki from Latin rock band Fobia, who started working together two years earlier. After being joined by ex-Los Druidas keyboardist Alicia, bassist Triny, and ex-Indecisión guitarist Leonor, the band moved to the U.S. to make its debut album called Horas, released in 1997, featuring the hit single "Horas" and a Latin ska version of José Luis Perales' "¿Por Qué Te Vas?"
