Biography
Atmospheric Seattle, WA-based indie rock outfit Black Whales formed in 2008 around the talents of vocalist/guitarist Alex Robert, guitarist/keyboardist Alan Foote, drummer/percussionist Davey Brozowski, bassist Ryan Middleton, and keyboard player/percussionist Mike Bayer. Employing the spacious rainy neo-traditional pop-infused folk-rock aesthetic of fellow Pacific Northwest shape-shifters like the Moondoggies and the Cave Singers, Black Whales released their debut EP, Origins, in 2009.
