About BM Linx

Referencing their primary influences as "musicians and bands that don't blow smoke and really bring it" (which, according to them, includes Sepultura and Ed Banger), BM LINX create music that manages to be unabashedly derivative and simultaneously oblivious of the '90s alternative scene, a time when bands like Monster Magnet, Spacehog, and White Zombie were in heavy radio rotation. New York clubbers Tony Diodore and Jonathan Murray formed BM LINX in 2005 with the lone goal of combining rock showmanship with dark synth pop and taking it to the city streets. After home-producing a raw album on a tight budget, they met up with the thick-accented former Puracane drummer Andrew Griffiths, who climbed aboard the project. The three started rehearsing together and playing at shows on the Lower East Side, and in 2006 FB Records released their debut, The Portable Genius. ~ Jason Lymangrover
