About Carol Comune

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a young child I saw the The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky in NYC. The orchestra and music was so beautiful and thrilling to see how it inspired the dancers. I knew then, I was going to spend my life as a musician/pianist/composer! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “To Kill a Mockingbird” I heard this music when I was 8 years old watching the movie. I was so mesmerized by the simplicity and the emotions it evoked. This classic by Elmer Bernstein was one of the reasons that inspired me to compose. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Commissioned Composer for NJMTA (MTNA) in 2022 (my home-state). It was an honor to compose 3 compositions for piano: Elementary - Intermediate - Advance and Chamber piece for cello and piano.
