Biography

Connecticut rockers Counterfit were formed in 1999, when they decided that punk pop was their ticket out of their home state. Relocating to San Diego, California, the group recorded the On the Downside EP that September and it was released on Alphabet Records. Touring with the Ataris and the Juliana Theory among others, they shaped up their live sound and returned to the studio in the spring of 2002. They recorded From Finish to Starting Line for Negative Progression Records and released it in the summer of 2002.
