Dagon

Lansing, MI's Dagon is not to be confused with a Dallas-based hermetic black metal band by the same name, as the more northerly of the two entities pursues a melodic blend of thrash and death metal instead. Created in 2004, Dagon are composed of Briant Daniel (guitar), Chris "Lance" Sharrock (guitar), Randall Ladiski (bass, vocals), and Jordan "Truck" Batterbee (drums, vocals) — the last three of which are also members of Christian metal band Bestiary. However, despite being signed to a Christian label, Dagon's lyrics only touch upon religion amid other topics, as evidenced by the group's releases to date: 2005's Secrets of the Deep EP, 2007's Paranormal Ichthyology album, 2008's Buried Treasure EP, and 2009's Terraphobic album.
