From the dark alleyways of Hollywood, hard rock quartet Dead Girls Corp. creeps from the shadows with their nihilistic brand of melodic, new wave-inspired industrial. Influenced in equal measure by Skinny Puppy and Depeche Mode, the group emerged in the late '90s, reshuffling lineups into the 21st century for the release of their 2019 rebirth, Bloody Noses and Hand Grenades. Formed in 1999 by vocalist Toddy T (aka Toddy Deadboy) and guitarist Dave Teague (the Dickies), the group played into the next decade, issuing an album (I Like Daisies) in 2004 before revamping their lineup in 2011 with drummer Mel McFail. Along with bassist Bruce Miyaki, the solidified quartet set to work on abrasive, hard-charging songs such as "Lux," recalling the early-2000s, post-NIN crop of industrial rock groups such as Orgy, Murderdolls, and American Head Charge. They toured with Orgy, Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, and Davey Suicide, expanding their audience before the release of 2019's Bloody Noses and Hand Grenades (Monsterman Records/EMP).
