Dear Jayne

Put together by manager and executive producer Anthony "T.A." Tate (Ciara, Teairra Mari, J. Holiday), the Atlanta-based Dear Jayne was a female R&B trio: Ashlee (originally from Los Angeles), Jasmine (originally from Florida), and Lindsey (originally from Atlanta). "Talkin' 'Bout Himself," their debut single, generated a little buzz during the summer of 2007, but they fully arrived with the Carlos McKinney-produced "Rain," a single that debuted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart the following January. Dear Jayne's first album, Voice Message, was scheduled for March 2008 release on Capitol, but it was shelved indefinitely.
