A Christian metalcore band from Sioux City, IA, For Today released their first album, Ekklesia, in 2008. Signed to Facedown Records, For Today — formed in 2005 and made up of Mattie (vocals), Ryan (guitar), Mike (guitar), Brandon (bass), and David (drums) — spent the lion's share of their first couple of years together paying their dues on the live circuit. With an album to promote in 2008, the band had a long year of touring and gigs planned. After their debut, the band continued to be productive, releasing their follow up, Portraits, in 2008, as well as Breaker in 2010.
