Long Island's From Autumn to Ashes were one of the more melodic bands in hardcore, but vocalist Benjamin Perri also had a screaming, unforgiving side. The band recorded its debut album, Too Bad You're Beautiful in 2001 and sold more than 50,000 units. In 2002 the group recorded the Sin, Sorrow and Sadness EP and their second full-length followed a year later; entitled The Fiction We Live. Following Abandon Your Friends in 2005, internal conflicts almost broke up the band, finding drummer Francis Mark moving out from behind the drum kit to handle all vocal duties on 2007's Holding a Wolf by the Ears. ~ Alex Henderson
