Biography
Formed in 2008 around the talents of former Skeletonwitch bassist/vocalist Eric Harris, drummer Joe Fabio and guitarists Andrew Packer and Scotty Conant, Pasadena, California-based hard rockers GypsyHawk’s retro-metal assault, complete with dual leads, infectious melodies, fantasy artwork and copious amounts of solos, found an enthusiastic local audience almost immediately. The band inked a deal in 2009 with Bay area label Creator-Destructor, and headed into the studio with producer Zack Ohren (Animosity, All Shall Perish). GypsyHawk cites Thin Lizzy, Hawkwind, and Black Sabbath as influences, and their 2010 debut, Patience and Perseverance, dutifully backs up that claim.
