About Jeff Deyo

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember when I first started taking piano lessons (around 6 or 7 years old), I used to love to play the classic, Heart and Soul. I would spend hours trying different melodies and chord combinations until it annoyed everyone in my whole house. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? DC Talk, Free At Last (Remastered) Michael W. Smith, Go West Young Man Phil Collins, No Jacket Required (Remastered) Before I loved worship music, I loved pop music soooooo much. These 3 albums had incredible singable melodies and big production that captured my imagination and filled me with excitement! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Glory” I wrote this one in 20 minutes. That never happens! It was like God poured out the lyrics and I could barely write them fast enough. The production is so special too, with The Kurnoll producing and David Davidson playing all the beautiful strings! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable times in my ministry was when I went to Bogota Columbia and led worship for 30,000 young adults. I sang in Spanish some, and it was incredible to hear all of those people worshiping God in Spanish to my song Bless the Lord. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have so many more songs to write and release. I have so many more miles to travel and so many more venues to lead worship in. It would be amazing to lead worship in a stadium one day, where everyone is completely captivated by our Heavenly Father.
