The norteño combo Los Alacranes de Durango are based in Piedras Negras, Mexico, across the border from the Rio Grande River in Texas. The trio recorded an album of vocal and instrumental rancheras, corridos, and polkas for Arhoolie, ¡En Vivo!, in 2001.
