Mouse Fire

Lakeland, Florida's Mouse Fire plays moody, danceable indie rock. Joey Bruce (vocals, guitar) and Shane Schuch (guitar, keys, programming) initially met as teenagers who were dividing their individual time between playing music and skateboarding around town. Both had been playing in separate bands based out of Polk County, Florida when they crossed paths with drummer Aaron Venrick and bassist Justin Carson, who were keeping themselves busy as members in local bands of their own. Eventually, the quartet became more focused on music, shed its other projects and started rocking out together under the name Mouse Fire in 2006. The band's debut full-length, Wooden Teeth, was released through Louisiana-based Lujo Records in November 2007.
