About Rick Devin
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. On Christmas morn 1969, I received my first 'real' acoustic guitar and by age 10 I was writing songs for our band. My first on-stage appearance was at age 12, with a Fender Strat & Princeton Reverb Amp, bought with paper-route money. I was hooked. :) Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Knocking On Heaven's Door” This was my 1st collaboration with the late, great, drummer Chet McCracken (The Doobie Brothers, America, Stevie Nicks, Joe Walsh, etc.). We went on to record over 2 dozen songs together for my "Old School" Album Series. Rest in Peace my friend. <3 What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When world-renown Recording Engineer & Producer, Chuck Leary, picked 'me' to be one of his 'pet-projects' for my 1st Studio CD in 1999, "Colorado Cowboy". He's best known for his work with America, The Beach Boys, Bee Gees & more. I'm truly Honored!!
