Serum 114

Deutschrock band Serum 114, from Frankfurt, Germany, took their name from Stanley Kubrick's film A Clockwork Orange, where the chemical substance was used to suppress criminal behavior. The Social Distortion-inspired punk rock group, which consists of singer/guitarist Esche, guitarist Thorsten Glatte, bassist Markus Stein, and drummer Nils Lang, started out in 2006 and released its first EP, Seid Ihr Bereit?, through Bodog Music in 2008, followed by a self-titled debut album the same year. When Bodog went bankrupt, the group had to self-finance its second album, Antiheld, which was completed in 2010 but only released when the band signed with Rookies & Kings in 2011. Their third studio album, Deine Stimme/Dein Gesicht, followed in January 2012.
