Biography

Grupo Solido, comprised of three brothers and three family friends, was formed in Rio Grande City, TX. Since signing with Freddie Records (owned and run by five-time Grammy-winning artist and producer Freddie Martinez), Solido has recorded five records, earning them a Latin Grammy in 2001 for Nadie Como Tu, followed by a Latin Grammy nomination in 2003 for Vuelve. Widely known for their romantic take on the norteño style, Solido has a unique touch that makes them easily distinguishable among the many groups that perform in this popular regional Mexican style. ~ Evan C.
