In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a family of opera singers, and I was always surrounded by music from being a baby. All kinds of music, such as opera naturally but also jazz, African, country, and modern music, disco, pop and everything in between. Music is life. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kurt Elling, Dedicated To You: Kurt Elling Sings the Music of Coltrane and Hartman Sting, The Police, The Very Best of Sting & The Police Tina Turner, Tina Turner: The Platinum Collection Amazing song writing and interpretation of the songs, great voice, raw, soulful, I love how these artists find space between the notes and how poetic and bold they are at the same time Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Together” I love this song because it's so passionate and sexy, and I loved how everything flowed when writing this song, the lyrics came easily to me, and I wanted it to be tribal which the band executed beautifully with elements of jazz and rock What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got the privilege to work with my jazz hero, Grammy winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling in NY which was very inspiring. And also, working with the great Native American flute player R. Carlos Nakai, was a profound experience in my career. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have so many artists I would love to work with and create music with. The list is long, but definitely to dive deeper into the Scottish and American Indian musical roots would be very exciting to me.
