About Felguk

Brazilian EDM duo Felguk play an ecstatic, propulsive brand of electro-house tailor-made for summer festivals. While their tracks often feature buzzing synths, filter sweeps, and mutated funk basslines, they've also delved into dubstep, trance, hip-hop, and other genres. They've collaborated with the likes of 12th Planet, Example, and Infected Mushroom, and opened for Madonna on the Brazilian leg of her 2012 tour. Felguk have released dozens of tracks and remixes which topped online retail charts or racked up high stream counts, including 2010's "2Nite" and their 2018 mix of Vanessa da Mata's "Ai Ai Ai." Rio de Janeiro-based duo Felipe Lozinsky and Gustavo Rozenthal first began releasing music as Felguk in 2007. Their first single, "Palmtree," was released by German label Houserecordings. The duo continued delivering buzzing electro-house on EPs such as Galaxy Traveller (Plasma.Digital) and All Night Long (BugEyed Records), both 2008 releases. They gained exposure for a few high-profile remixes, including their takes on Madonna's "Celebration," the Black Eyed Peas' "The Time (Dirty Bit)," and Flo Rida featuring David Guetta's "Club Can't Handle Me." Felguk's 2010 single "2Nite" was included in the official trailer of the popular dance festival Electric Daisy Carnival. In 2011, Felguk collaborated with U.K. rapper Example on the song "Plastic Smile." They also launched their own Dongle Records, issuing tracks such as "Blow Out" and "Jack It." They were included in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll in 2011 and 2012. Their tour dates in 2012 included sets at Tomorrowland and Burning Man, as well as several dates opening for Madonna's MDNA tour in Brazil. Felguk's 2013 EP Slice & Dice included a collaboration with Israeli trance duo Infected Mushroom and a remix by Californian dubstep producer 12th Planet. Subsequent collaborations included 2014's "Nova" (with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Tujamo) and 2015's "Slap" (with FTampa). In 2017, the duo began regularly releasing covers of classic dance tracks, including Laid Back's "White Horse" and Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" (retitled "Work It Harder"). They also revisited their Brazilian roots by remixing MPB singer Vanessa da Mata's songs "É Tudo o Que Eu Quero Ter" and "Ai Ai Ai." Remaining active into the 2020s, they released original tracks such as "OK" and the chiptune-influenced "Game Boy," and remixed Moby's track "Power Is Taken." ~ Paul Simpson
